You've finally made it for the nicer weather and so on those hot days, you find that the Rat Rod is running far warmer than you choose. The first thing you'll want to determine is if things are all working properly. Go using the obvious first. Is the radiator of the Rat Rod free from any blockages? Is there a develop of calcium inside the radiator and never and can cool efficiently? Lets check hoses. Are there any leaks using them, or perhaps fact cautious leaks to the entire system? Squeeze the hoses. They can collapse once they are getting to be worn and block the flow of cool fluid. Also, lets look at the water pump. You can tell when its flowing by looking within the radiator and seeking for coolant movement. If Common Cars and Norman Rockwell of these have a look at, pressure test your entire system. Make sure that the radiator fluid isn't mixing with engine oil. Lets not forget about the obvious. Check that thermostat or remove it to ensure that it is just not the challenge. Newer radiators are constructed of aluminum and dissipate heat much better a brass/copper style radiator. Although they come at a price, they generally less complicated smaller then this originals, and take away the temperature faster plus more efficiently as opposed to traditional style. The design of the Rat Rod can hinder the performance of your cooling system also. If you are running the conventional grille, the flow of air should not be any problem. But if Tipp Rods - A Rich Dive are attempting to switch the flow of air towards the radiator by changing the design of the front end with the addition of shrouds or fancy bodywork, this could cause an overheating condition. Although you have fans, the natural flow of air, for instance at highway speeds, is necessary. As the RPM's of the engine rise, does the interest in additional cooling. Overdrive transmissions do help by reducing the tools and thus reducing the RPM's, but remember about the airflow in your cooling.
